Wesley Snipes Hoping For New Trial In Tax Evasion Case – Wesley Snipes has revealed that he is hoping for a new trial in his tax evasion case. Snipes said that he is hoping that the arrest of his former financial adviser will force the court to take another look at the charges, which landed Snipes in jail for a three year prison sentence. He has been seeking to have his conviction overturned for quite some time, but now his attorneys want to file a new appeal based on the recent arrest of his former financial adviser, Kenneth Starr.
Starr was charged in may with securities fraud worth over $59 million. He was a key witness in the 2008 trial, and Snipes’ is hoping that his recent arrest will throw that testimony into question and allow him to go forward with his impending appeal.
Prosecutors say that Snipes made $13.8 million over three years and owed nearly $2.7 million in back taxes that he refused to pay. Snipes is currently free on bail while he appeals the case, apologized and said that he was an idealistic artist.
It will be interesting to see how the case changes given the new information. If Starr’s testimony cannot be trusted, then that will change the case completely. The charges could potentially be dropped if they do not have sufficient evidence, other than the testimony that was given by Kenneth Starr. Snipes, who has taken a long break from acting, recently said that he would return to acting if he could get his legal woes in order. Hopefully the judge is a Wesley Snipes fan.

It is just like this ridiculous statement why the USA is flat broke. If everyone was to pay their fair share, especially the super rich there would be less financial difficulties and what the heck, we would even be able to start another war.
