Steve Harvey Slams Ex Mary Shackelford-Harvey

It’s comedian Steve Harvey who is the butt of the jokes this time as his ex wife, Mary Harvey has posted a series of videos on the popular YouTube website regarding their marital breakup and the bitter results.

Talking to Essence Magazine she focused on the lawsuit filed by the comedian regarding the loss of a tv show option that he was supposed to get from talk show magnate Oprah Winfrey.

The videos, three in total with run about 26 minutes shows letters and email excerpts that she reportedly intercepted between the comedian and his present wife Marjorie.

Steve Harvey’s lawyers sent a statement to news service CNN on Monday expressing their and the comedian’s discontent with the videos and their content.

Divorced in 2005, both Mary and Steve Harvey fell int a bitter feud that pit family members against one another. The present hostilities in their legal confrontations revolve around those videos and other issues and both have legal counsel in the battle zone.

Mary Harvey goes on to recount how the two met in 1989 but married in 1996 and had a son the following year.

She detailed how she helped support the then struggling comedian with his career often sleeping in their cars and struggling to make gas money to make the next trip to his next engagements.

It was the suspicion of infidelity that led to their down fall she insinuates.

Steve Harvey answered his ex claims on his show, saying:

“I know the truth. But the matter is, the part that’s hurtful in this is my wife and children had to be drugged [sic] into this. If you’re going to be vindictive go ahead and aim it at me, but my son is coming in the room crying. And that’s also her son. So why would you do this?”

The comedian added:

“Here’s my job as a father to my son. I’ve taught him to be respectful of his mother and women overall. It is still his mother, and I’m his father, and it’s my job to raise him the right way.”
