Shamicka Gibbs Martin Lawrence Married – Martin Lawrence and his longtime girlfriend, Shamicka Gibbs, were married in a wedding on Saturday at the actor’s home in Beverly Hills. Lawrence, 45, married Gibbs, 35. They exchanged vows in their back yard in front of 120 guests. Celebrities who attended the wedding included Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington. The couple has two daughters together, Amara, 9 and Lyana, 7. Lawrence also has a 14 year old daughter from a previous marriage. All of the girls were flower girls during the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the newlyweds joined their guests under a huge tent that had been setup for a reception. The event was kept fairly small, and they opted out of renting a huge estate to house their wedding. Instead, the back yard provided a more family-friendly environment.

After the wedding, guests were treated to a 4 course sit down dinner, that was catered by Tres LA. First came salad, then crab cakes and salmon. Dinner was followed a four-tiered wedding cake that was made by Rosebud Cakes in Beverly Hills.
“They wanted an intimate celebration,” said a source that was close with the couple. “This wedding was all about family.”
Lawrence most recently appeared in this year’s comedy “Death at a Funeral,” and will also be starring in the next installment of the popular movie franchise, “Big Momma’s House.” Lawrence is also rumored to be in the planning details for a third installment in the “Bad Boys” franchise, in which he stars alongside Will Smith.
