Ne-Yo R. Kelly Tour Lawsuit $700,000 Settlement - Ne-Yo was awarded $700,000 in damages from promoters for Rowe Entertainment Inc. after he was unfairly booted off R. Kelly’s concert tour back in 2007.Ne-Yo claimed at the time that he was dropped from the tour after just two shows because he was upstaging R. Kelly.After Rowe Entertainment failed to respond to the lawsuit, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Malcolm Mackey ordered the company to pay Ne-Yo $700,320 last week.The singer said:
The parties understood that the oral agreement was binding and would be binding even if a formal written agreement was never executed.”
Good for him,he can now buy new hats.
