Michael Jackson Death – Katherine Jackson Sues AEG Live – The mother of the late Prince of Pop, Katherine Jackson, has recently filed a lawsuit against the promoters of Michael Jackson’s 50 London concert series that were set to begin just days before the singer died last year.

The filing is a wrongful death lawsuit that accuses the concert promoter’s AEG Live of “putting its desire for massive profits” over the assurance of Jackson’s health and safety before the tour started. The suit also claims that AEG should be held liable for the actions that Jackson’s doctor took, and said that they had not provided proper life-saving equipment that would have helped Jackson.

Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest at age 50 on June 25, 2009. His death was later ruled a homicide, and the coroner of the Los Angeles County has said that his death was caused by massive doses of a powerful anesthetic as well as a mix of other sedatives and painkillers.

Jackson’s doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and is still waiting for his trial to begin in Los Angeles.

This is not the first lawsuit filed in the case of Jackson, as his father filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Murray, but did not name AEG.
