Mary J. Blige Says ‘Umbrella’ Is Too Mainstream For Her

Mary J. Blige doesn’t need Rihanna’s “Umbrella”.Blige claimed last month that the song was initially offered to her.She is now more or less dissing the hit track by saying it was too “mainstream” for her.Blige told WENN:

Mary leave , Rihanna’s “Umbrella” alone, this is starting to make you look bad.

Okay, as much as I love Mary for what she’s been through, she’s getting on my nerves-again. I just got over her saying some crap about Beyonce’ and Ciara “not going through enough”, now this? As far as being “mainstream”, I don’t hear her complaining when HER songs are played on the radio in constant rotation. There’s being real and then there’s just sour grapes, you decide. If you’re the queen, be graceful. You don’t have to shoot down everyone that gets success, fall back for a minute. We love to see you do well but leave the hood in the hood!!! I know somebody’s gonna think that I’m “Mary Bashing”, but Mary’s doing a lot of bashing of her own!
