Kobe Bryant LA Times Photos
Kobe Bryant LA Times Photos? – Kobe Bryant’s recent modeling photos in the LA Times have received a lot of attention around the Internet last week. Some have said that the photos are racist in nature, and have said that they are comparable to black face, minstrel show photos of previous generations. Others have criticized the photos, saying that Kobe Bryant looks “subdued and submissive” in each of the shots. According to the Los Angeles Lakers blog, some of his teammates were also not all that fond of the photos. The stylist at the photo shoot has claimed that she was going for a “Tupac Shakur” look, but apparently was not able to pull it off.
Kobe himself has had his reservations about the photos as well. He has said that he felt the photos were “too artsy.”

They certainly do not portray the Kobe that we are used to seeing on the court. The caption below the photos read “Kobe Bryant White Hot,” which seems to give a little more credibility to the choice of attire.
Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant and the NBA Lakers have had their hands full in the NBA playoffs. After surprisingly losing two games to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening round of the playoffs, they have been able to take a two game lead over the Utah Jazz. In the first game Bryant was able to score 31 points, leading his team to victory. In the second game he was able to post 30 points.
