George Lopez Racist Tirade?

Apparently George Lopez went on a racial tirade against Black people by calling them “Nigger” last night at the Nokia Theater.Lopez reportedly used the Spanish racist term “Mayate” which means “a black beetle” but it’s an EXTREMELY DEROGATORY way to refer to African Americans or against any person who is seen as black.According to Splashnews here is what George Lopez said during the show:
George was going on about text alerts – then he said we have to send each other texts saying Mayate Alert, Mayate Alert. Anyway, Mayate means [The N Word] in Spanish. Some of the Mexicans were making sounds like – Whoa I can’t believe he just said that. See some Black people think negro/negra/negrito/negrita means [The N Word] in Spanish. So, he thought the few black people there wouldn’t catch it.He was also like f*ck ‘em, they ain’t here tonight – and if YOU are here – you’re Dominican tonight damn it.
Then he went on to promote the racial tensions (as if this needs instigating) in LA. He went on and ON about how Mexicans run L.A. and run the U.S. He also spoke about how young Mexican boys are dying on the front line in Iraq while the Whites are in the back partying (offensive to anyone of any race who has lost loved ones in Iraq).
Douche bag Lopez was not funny to begin with, he is just starving for publicity.

I just went to george lopez last night and my girl and I walked out, all of the racist stuff that he said was offensive and we already have a petition signed by over 120 people and we will get more to shut george lopez down. Okay! I have read enough. When I heard that George Lopez had said something “racist” I had to stop and pause. I listened to one of his comedy routines and it was mediocre, at best. One of the things that he mentioned was that his mother didn’t like Black folks and was upset when they took care of her as home health nurses. I come from a middle class white family. None of my family members are openly racist, but I notice a strong hesitation from parent, uncles, and grandparents to associate with mexicans and blacks, and in turn minorities to associate with them. I myself have found that some of the most interesting relationships i’ve had have been with blacks. Although at times I do not understand the humor and overall culture of black people (Tyler Perry’s Madea for example), I’ve found that if I am honest about my ignorance black people can respect open mindedness. I think the problem is that many blacks and mexicans struggle financially and live in dangerous areas, this brings caution to middle or upper class whites and creates a barrier. I believe this is the issue in my family rather than a deep seeded hatred of someone who is not white.

I am a biracial person living in the USA… What I find interesting is that people here hate each other and they are all minorities. I feel like people who are born in this country get misfed info everyday. In other countries we laugh at Americans because of how you classify yourself racially, instead of as a culture. Last time I heard Africa is a continent with over 50 countries. Most Black-Americans ancestors were brought here as slave-labor. It was one thing when in the 1980’s it was thought to be 1.5 million, well that turned out to be over 3 million. It’s quite another when there are over 12 to 30 million. In a recession were there are over 14 to 30 million legal US citizens and legal residents out of work, you can’t say Americans won’t do certain jobs anymore. In many case they were doing these jobs and illegal immigrants pushed them out by taking less money. Mind you Americans were alreadly doing them in the first place. Americans were working in hotels, foodservice, cleaning, construction, meat, poultry and seafood processing, road crews, landscaping and other manual labor jobs. Illegal Hispanics were claiming that they were building America. Huh? America was already buildt. Their flooding the USA for the last 20 years illegally has caused a large share of problems. Or 80 hospitals have had to close in the Southwest. They don’t seem to know what birth-control is. They with not be a part of HealthCare reform. To me all hospital need to be able to ask about immigration status as well as social services, that alone would stop most of them from trying to give birth in a hospital and getting a anchor baby citizen. No, since illegal immigrants are so proud of their native countries then they ought to be proud to go back home and help build it up. Black and White Americans are not going to leave because of you demanding anything. Believe me, they have more at stake and will not take kindly to any such threat.
