“After doing these roles that were so emotional (Dreamgirls, Cadillac Records) I was thinking to myself, ‘OK, I need to be a superhero.’ Although, when you think about the psychology of the heroes in the films these days, they are still a lot of work, of course, and emotional. But there’s also an action element that I would enjoy.”
Beyonce added:
l: “I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume. The way that Lynda Carter wore it, she was sooo fine. She was amazing. I saw her costume at the Met. Her waist was unbelievable. It was pretty crazy, actually, her proportions. But I love Wonder Woman and it’d be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso. To make everybody tell the truth? I need that. It would come in very handy.”
Beyonce singing=yes.

Wtf.. go away beyonce.. wonder woman was not black.. you cant go changing history because you feel like you should be a super hero. megan gale is the perfect fit for this role. because she aesthetically resembles the original character so well. and no.. it is not “time for that” just because obama the legend is now present does not mean there should be a black wonderwoman arghh and race isnt even important “a powerful thing” wtf. the actress needs ot look like the character.. simple as that. and you do not. dont see people going and putting in white actresses for storm, they stayed true to the comic.

pleaaaase. Beyonce sh**ts all over megan gale’s manly looking azz. I dont recall Megan Gale ever acting in aything . What is the big drama if a non white actress plays wonder woman?

Hey there, Shaniqua… I mean Charisse, it’s not about a non-white playing the role. It’s about someone who’s not of the character’s ethnicity playing the role. I have black friends and I grew up watching four black television programs and I loved those shows. I have no problem seeing black people in roles. The characters need to be kept in their original ethnicity. I would flip out if they had anybody who wasn’t black play Storm, Blade, Black Panther, Deathlok, Luke Cage, Silhouette, Bishop, or any other characters who were originally black. In the words of some black people, “That’s not what it need!”

I hope Jennifer Lopez gets the role. Alot of people hope Beyonce doesn’t get this role. I am one of em.

This is ridiculous it won’t work with Beyonce, just like it didn’t work with the Honeymooners. The Kramden’s and Norton’s weren’t black. Come on ppl Beyonce is no Linda Carter just like Cedric the Entertainer was no Jackie Gleason; she is not the person for this role. I hope hollywood doesn’t destroy this iconic figure being politically correct.

@Nick while I definitely agree with ur assesment of it being ridiculous on many fronts to change the ethnicity of ANY superhero… and while I def agree with a few others on beyonces lack of real talent when it comes to anything on a movie or television screen…. altho I absolutely love her voice!!! any person tht will change someones name to one tht they believe is “black” like u did jumping from Charisse to “Shaniqua”, and then follow tht up with literally counting how many “black” tv shows u grew up watching and make sure to let everyone know how u have “black” friends speaks volumes about just what ur racial views are!! but even in saying this thts the damnable beauty/ugliness of this great country and the free speech we’re blessed to have… moderate racists can express their opinions too, lol… no harm no foul Nick just an observation… btw I think it would be a disaster for beyonce to play tht role for many, many reasons outside of her skin color… and Nick us “black” people have many sayings that are grammatically correct what u think we say “ain’t it!!!”
