It is rumored that Beyonce Knowles wants to cover Aaliyah’s hit song “One in a Million”.Apparently a movement has started by an online group to stop Beyonce from reaching her goal.A group on Facebook called “Stop Beyonce from Covering Aaliyah’s One in a Million!!!” has over 6,500 members with new members signing up everyday to protest against Knowles.

i really do like beyonce and her own individuality she is special in her own right but this
is no excuse to disrespect the legendary of Aaliyah.
Beyonce needs to think about this long and hard as she will be jeperdising her future as a female artist!
its dissheartened me to think that another female artist can even contemplate covering such a wonderful song that shows the purity and beauty of Aaliyah that will live on forever.
My thoughts can only be with the family of Aaliyah, the sheer fact that Beyonce can think she is capable of half covering such an individual track must shock them.
i really think its a bad move and it shouldnt be done!
i hope that it succeeds in discouraging Beyonce.

Aaliyah was very talented and I will always respect her, but what is the need to rip on Beyonce just to show how much you all loved Aaliyah. I don’t think that she should remake the song, but would it be the end of the world. How many other artists remake or sample from someone who has passed away. I truly believe that if it were not Beyonce, it wouldn’t be so much of a big deal.To all who said that Beyonce just shakes her ass, she must be doing something right, because she made you look.They are two beautiful, talented black women, why can’t we just respect them both for their talent and overcoming adversity and not becoming young black statistics. Actually, I loved Aaliyah’s music, but she behaved in a more spoiled and demanding way than Beyonce has ever been reported to behave. Aaliyah came off as being quite self-centered and was reported to be sometimes unreasonable. This character flaw of hers unfortunately caused her her life when she forced the pilot to put all of her trunks and baggage on the plane even though he told her it could not work, and implored her not to do it. You guys sit here and defame Beyonce and criticize her for traits that others displayed instead of hersult.
