Barry Bonds Pleads Not Guilty

Baseball home run king Barry Bonds has pleaded not guilty to four counts of perjury and one of obstructing justice at a Court in San Francisco earlier today.Bonds who gave very brief answers was guided by six lawyers and was released on a $500,000 personal recognizance bond.
He is being charged for his testimony to a federal grand jury in the BALCO case in December 2003, where he denied ever knowingly using performance-enhancing substances.
Barry could spend more than two years in prison and is due back in court on Feb. 7.
