Akon Pleads Not Guilty In Fan-Tossing Case

Akon pleaded not guilty to criminal charges filed against him for tossing a young fan off the stage at a concert in New York,earlier today.The singer was released on his own recognizance following his brief court appearance and faces misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment, and a violation charges.The singer’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said in a written statement released to the media:
“It was never Akon’s intention to violate the law,” “This unfortunate incident was a spontaneous reaction during a live concert that Akon deeply regrets.”
Akon is due back in court in January 2008.Let’s hope he does not fling nor toss off a stage in between.
